About

ZLH Careers is a Caribbean-based consulting agency with international reach, working at the intersection of people, businesses, and the enabling environments they operate in. We support individual professionals and entrepreneurs to steward evolving professional portfolios, work with growth-oriented companies to strengthen strategy and growth readiness, and collaborate with institutions to develop and manage programmes that build capacity, foster collaboration, and support ecosystem development.

While ZLH formally launched in 2018 in Kingston, Jamaica, the work it does today draws on earlier professional experience across institutional, policy, and development environments. Across our work, we bring together learning, strategy, and real-world execution to help clients move from ambition to grounded action, with clarity about where they are, where they’re headed, and how to move forward.

Our Philosophy

At ZLH, we understand a person’s professional life as more than a job title or a single role. It is a portfolio of experiences, skills, relationships, and contributions that evolves over time. People do not move through linear careers; they navigate transitions, build layered identities, and operate across personal, professional, and community contexts.

In the same way, organisations do not build capacity through strategy alone. Capacity is strengthened when strategy is grounded in people, structures, and the realities of the environments in which organisations operate. ZLH’s work sits in this space, helping individuals steward their professional portfolios, supporting companies to bring coherence across ambition and execution, and working with institutions to create learning environments that build collective capability.

About ZLH

Zahra Henry, Founder and Director of ZLHCareers, presenting to the students of St. Andrew High

ZLH Careers was founded to bridge the gap between talent, opportunity, and the systems that shape how people and organisations grow. At the heart of our work is connection — between internal strategy and external realities, between where organisations are now and where they want to go next.

ZLH brings together global exposure with local grounding. Our work draws on experience across public institutions, private companies, and development organisations, translating between different professional cultures, stakeholder expectations, and decision-making environments. This allows us to help clients navigate complexity — whether aligning teams around strategy, positioning a business for new markets or financing, or convening diverse stakeholders around shared objectives.

Many organisations are capable and ambitious. What is often missing is not intelligence or intent, but the space and structure to hold strategy, execution, and change together. ZLH exists to hold that space — providing structured thinking, practical support, and continuity as clients move from plans to action.

Today, ZLH works across three interconnected levels: individual professionals and entrepreneurs, growth-oriented companies, and institutions shaping enabling environments. The practice brings together professional portfolio coaching, strategic business growth consulting, and the development and management of public and social programmes across the Caribbean and internationally.
